Be: Intransitive Verb; to take place, equal to, have identity with.
Often we are told that we are incapable of controlling everything around us. That which we cannot control, we must simply accept, to let it be. Let it take place the void that was left empty, untouched, or simply left as a memory waiting to be revisited. To equal to that which we once appreciated, fantasized, or belonged with. What was once a part of us will always be a part of us, even if it is apart from us and now that simple part we now have identity with. So wouldn’t letting it be, be rhetorical?
We will grow, we will live, we will separate and we will forget. But one day we will look back and look at all the times that we let it be, and I for one will wonder what if I didn’t? What if I spent that whole time letting me take place of the emptiness rather than let it fill it itself? What if I spent the whole time equaling my appreciation, belonging and fantasy to what was now and not to what was then or what it will become? What if what I identified myself with consumed me, to where it was me.
Let it be. Be what exactly?
